BOTTLE PALM

Hyophorbe lagenicaulis (4mABCDE) . Bottle Palm is almost extinct in its native habitat of Round Island off Mauritius but there have been plenty planted in the tropics. Bottle Palm is a real curiosity with its swollen trunk and exceedingly attractive long arching leaves. Something special in a pot. Will grow outdoors in most Australian conditions. Mulch well in full sun and avoid shade and too much moisture when cool. These palms are 300mm tall 3 leaf plants in 75mm pots.
