FINGER LIME

Microcitrus australisica (3-4m**FABCD) is a fabulous, sought after, native fruit that are green and long (10cm) and like a cylinder 3cm through. They grow on a unique native rainforest tree from Qld & Northern NSW. The foliage is unusual & spiky but not dangerously so in any way. Although taller in its natural habitat expect 3-4m in cultivation. Finger limes have a thin green glossy skin that can range in colour. Famous chefs rate the juice superior to other limes. The juice can be frozen without destroying the flavour. Good pot speciman. Can handle frost as it ages. Full sun to part shade in well drained conditions. Small plants 200mm tall in 75mm  pots.
