Metrosideros tomentosa (5mAbcD) Beautiful foliage on this evergreen bushy shrub! Thick, leathery, oval leaves which are dark green with creamy margins on top and pale underneath. This easy growing low maintenance large shrub shows the velvety red ‘bottlebrush’ flowers with the arrival of summer. Makes an excellent screen or windbreak. Native to New Zealand. Grows best in coastal areas. Full part to part shade.
