Ficus Black Genoa is a Mediterranean fruiting favourite, the Black Genoa produces deliciously sweet, deep purple figs with rich pink flesh in summer and autumn. The large lobed leaves provide lush greenery, and the tree grows to 3–5 metres high, ideal for small orchards or large tubs. It prefers a warm, sunny spot and can tolerate light frosts once established. One exciting twist? Even when not fruiting, this fig’s aromatic sap repels many garden pests naturally—an inbuilt defence system!
