    Hi Bev & Bob, i bought a Beehive Ginger (Malaysian) from you a few years ago & i am absolutely blown away with it. It’s just about my most favourite plant in the garden. I’m moving soon so dug up a piece & put it in a pot a few months ago & it’s doing really well. Not long ago i bought a chocolate one from you so it was great to see it in flower on the video. Everyone just loves these in my garden & always comments how unique & beautiful the flowers are. Last summer the guy who helps me in my garden had a Britsh back packer working for him & i asked him if he liked the Beehive flowers. He said ” That is the ugliest, scariest looking plant I’ve ever seen” LOL, luckily my Bat plants weren’t in flower! No accounting for bad taste is there!

      Thanks for your message Kerrie. It just shows us how much tastes can vary. In that case of the Backpacker, if you asked him some more questions you might find he has no appreciation of any plants at all. Then again he might only love specific types. Never be surprised to be surprised!! I think your lovely story is very funny and the funniest of the week and so deserves a bonus 200 Parry Voucher…so here it is waiting in cyberspce.
