(40cmAbD) Aeschynanthus evrardii ‘Flaming Crystals’ is a lovely hanging Lipstick with big red tubular flowers and almost iridescent purple stripes. Setting this off are unusual and very prominent purple anthers that look like weird paper clips. Other anthers are pure white -all on the one plant. This is a most striking flower glowing like crystals against attractive dark green large-leaved foliage. Flowering from March to May. Suited to hanging baskets or pots or placed as an epiphyte as in nature. From the rainforests of Thailand and Burma. Warm protected conditions or indoors.
